Miho Wada is a well established multi-instrumentalist and singer from Japan/New Zealand. She has performed all around the world touring with many groups, including performances at WOMAD festivals, Love Box, Havana International Jazz Festival (Cuba), Tanja Latina Festival (Morocco) and Nagaoka Winter Festival (Japan). She has recently recorded with Iggy Pop for Orcon’s project to re-record “The Passenger” in which she played the flute and piano. She has also performed with Jarvis Cocker, Nigel Kennedy, members of Buena Vista Social Club and the list continues…

Osaka famous mascot character, Kuidaore Taro from Kuidaore Dotonbori teams up Jazz orchestra, “Taro Dakudan” with SWEET HOLLYWAIIANS. and produced swing jazz album; KUIDAORE JAZZ.

Kuidaore is a Japanese word meaning roughly “to ruin oneself by extravagance in food.” It is sometimes romanized as Kuidaore, and is part of a larger proverb: “Dress (in kimonos) till you drop in Kyoto, eat till you drop in Osaka”. The word is associated with Dōtonbori, and is often used in tourist guides and advertisements. It can be seen in the names of several locations in Dotonbori, such as the mascot Kuidaore Taro and the defunct restaurant Kui-daore.

Hiroyasu Yaguchi has been constantly willing to approach new frontiers via his stimulating solo works, and his sometimes esoteric musical projects such as the group “Tokyo Mid/Low Frequency Band Limits”, which consists of eleven baritone saxophone players. As well as his highly skilled performances, his music is always informed by both intuition and unexpected concepts coming up through his own unique senses.
